|
In the role of Shipping Assistant you will be supporting our global headquarter as well as our European and Russian branch offices on shipments to/ from China. You have a strong track record in international shipping, and have good communication skills while being service minded towards customers. You are a team player and enjoy works in a busy environment with many tasks ongoing simultaneously while keeping an eye on details. Key accountabilities: Co-ordinate equipment handling between local terminal operators and customers including release for export, re-delivery of empty equipment, maintenance and repair as well as settlement of operational costs. Daily update of all laden/empty equipment movements within our corporate system to ensure full visibility to C-Shipping owned or leased equipment Ensure all export bookings are timely and accurately reflected within our system. Timely forecast and actual bookings advised to shipping lines with whom C-Shipping is working – incl shipments from Asian non-main ports which may require pre-carriage by feeder/rail/truck. Ensure all export documentation requirements are fulfilled for all shipments leaving Chinese/Asian ports – including IMO approvals when applicable Ensure arrival notifications are timely communicated to our customers for import shipments as well as invoicing for import shipments on collect terms Timely co-ordination of release of all import containers with shipping line(s) we operate with to meet financial commitments we have with our customers Monitor and handle demurrage & detention terms for each incoming shipment to ensure customers are invoiced accordingly Co-ordinate handling of on-/pre-carriage with truck/rail vendors if shipments to/from inland points have been booked. | Job Requirements |

Previous experience with shipping, preferably gained with an international shipping operator dominant in the Asia-Europe trade as well as traffic between China and Russia via the Russian Far East gate ways of Vladivostok and Vostochny. Strong background in handling shipping documentation and follow up Excellent communication and coordination skills Fluent in English (speaking and writing) Service minded with strong problem solving skills Experience with Russian/ European shipping will be considered a strong asset. Good command in MS-Office |
